Samantha Herom is a Registered Massage Therapist with the Massage Therapy Association of Saskatchewan since 2018 and previously obtained her Bachelors of Kinesiology with a major in Human Kinetics at the University of Regina in 2016. Sam specializes in assessment-based therapeutic massage, deep tissue treatment, prenatal massage, and cupping therapy. Her approach is based on a strong understanding of human anatomy and how the body moves, which helps her customize treatments to meet each client’s unique needs.
Before becoming a massage therapist, Sam completed a practicum in North Vancouver as part of her Kinesiology degree, where she worked with athletes on strength and conditioning. This experience deepened her understanding of the connection between physical performance and recovery. She went on to work as a Kinesiologist and Certified Personal Trainer with the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology, gaining experience with a wide variety of clients. Sam also worked alongside a Neurophysiotherapist, which sparked her interest in fine motor skills and their role in rehabilitation and movement. This diverse background informs her approach to massage therapy, allowing her to support both recovery and improved function for her clients.
Sam has a background in competitive dance and cheerleading, having coached both high school and all-star teams. She was also a member of the University of Regina Cheerleading team, where they won two national titles, and also earned two provincial titles as a high school cheerleading coach. Sam went on to be part of the 620 CKRM Roughrider Cheerleading team in 2015 before retiring from the sport.
Outside of work, Sam enjoys spending time with her husband (who, fun fact, is her high school sweetheart) and their three fur babies—a dog and two cats. In her free time, she loves knitting and crocheting, reading, and staying active. Sam is also known for making a mean London Fog and has a serious love for chocolate chip cookies. And don’t be surprised if her hair color changes every few months!
